It may be possible for you to have your learning from prior qualifications and experience accredited towards your degree programme.
If you are registering for the MA Education, you may be able to accredit a maximum of 90 credits as a result of the learning you have achieved through your certificated qualifications and/or experience.

University of Exeter students
Students who have completed the programmes below at the University of Exeter within the last five years can automatically progress to the MA Education programme via accredited prior certificated learning without having to complete the usual application process for APL or incur the usual costs. This exempts you from completing some of the credits of the MA Education.

- National Award in Special Educational Needs Co-ordination
- Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice and Certificate of Advanced Study
- Learning and Teaching in Higher Education programmes
Alumni of other institutions
If you received your qualification from another institution, you will need to apply for your learning to be assessed.
Accredited Prior Experiential Learning
If you are an experienced teacher or have other relevant professional experience, you may be able to accredit the learning you have achieved towards your degree programme up to a maximum of 30 credits.
