Master of Education (MEd) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (part-time) - Summer Intensive Course

Teaching and assessment

We take great care to provide you with support for your studies. All students have access to module tutors via email as well as face-to-face tutorials during the taught modules.

Assignments vary from module to module and involve a variety of assessment methods, including written essays and oral presentations.  More information can be found on the specific module descriptions.

See explanations of the different teaching, learning and assessment methods used at Exeter.

Students attend all taught modules on campus here in Exeter and teaching is face to face; there is frequent contact with staff in and outside of class. The assignments are done during the following 7 months when students are back in their work context; the module lecturers and personal tutors give a lot of support for these, through email and Skype contact, and resources are easily available in the electronic library. Students can come back at any time they wish to use the facilities and meet their supervisor, particularly when doing the dissertation.
