A chance for relevant work experience.

Methods of Teaching, Learning & Assessment

Placement(s)

a period of relevant work experience within the period of your academic course, sometimes unpaid, designed to give students an opportunity to undergo on-the-job training

Going on one or more placements is a requirement for a number of our programmes, including the DEd Psych Professional Training in Educational Psychology and some of our Master of Education courses.

If you are required to go on a placement that will bring you into contact with children and/or vulnerable adults, then you will first need to secure a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate (or equivalent from your country of domicile) and submit it to the university.
