Doctor of Education (EdD) Special Needs and Inclusive Education (SNIE)

Entry requirements

  • At least 3 years’ relevant professional experience
  • Applicants are expected to have obtained a Masters degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • If English is not your first language you will need to submit, before starting the programme, evidence of a good command of English (see University’s English language requirements).

Please include the following with your application:

  • A brief (1000 word) research proposal stating your research interest. It is advisable to include a initial research plan, with reference to appropriate literature and methodology.
  • A brief personal statement explaining your reasons for undertaking the EdD and how it will link with your professional practice
  • At least one reference clarifying your suitability for undertaking doctoral study, eg from a tutor on your Masters degree course, or from a senior professional colleague if the Masters was completed some years ago
