Overview
I worked as a teacher in a large, junior school in Harringay before completing the training to become an educational psychologist (EP) in 1999. After 10 years of working as an EP in inner and outer London boroughs I moved down to Devon to work for the local authority's Educational Psychology Service. My specialist area is the application of psychology to support care experienced children and their families. The focus of my doctoral thesis was on the school belonging experiences of children living in guardianship. I am registered with the HCPC and a member of the BPS. I am on the editorial board of Educational Psychology in Practice.
I started working as an academic and professional tutor on the DEdPsych in 2014 and became joint programme director in 2022.
