Overview

I am currently the PGCE Primary Programme Director and also have responsibility for PGCE Primary Science. I am interested in children’s learning in informal learning environments, such as Interactive Science Centres, museums, botanical gardens, environmental centres etc. and have published academic work within this field. Much of my research work has been in partnership with the Eden Project, Cornwall.

I also draw upon my previous fifteen years experience as a primary and middle school teacher covering Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. My duties included being a science subject leader and a deputy head teacher for several years.
