Politics and IR Careers Speed Networking event 2018

Students with alumni at the speed networking evening

Alumni offer career advice to current students in the Department of Politics

The College of Social Sciences and International Studies annual series of careers events launched this term with a “Careers Speed Networking” evening for Politics and International Relations students. Joining us to discuss their career paths were Alicia Matheson (International Relations, 2012) from Government Digital Services, Edward Jones (History and Politics 2014), Account Manager, GK Strategy and James Frisby (History and Politics, 2017) who is currently on the Civil Service Fast Stream.

James observed: “It’s really great to be back in Exeter, talking to students who are in the same position that I was in last year. I enjoyed being a part of the evening and telling students about the life of a civil service fast streamer.”

Students gave a very warm welcome to our alumni guest speakers and enjoyed the insightful event.
