Information for new students

The Employability and Graduate Development team will be running a two day programme of interactive graduate development and recruitment activities for all new students. This programme will be based on the key skills graduate recruiters are looking for: enterprise, teamwork, leadership and communications skills.

The eXfactor programme is compulsory and dates have been scheduled for all disciplines. All first year students will be expected to attend both days.

Dates: put them in your diary now!

Politics / Sociology / Philosophy / Anthropology - Thursday 18th and Friday 19th October 2012

Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies - Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th October 2012

Law - Thursday 10th and Friday 11th January 2013

More details about the sessions, what time to arrive, where to go, what to bring will be sent to you by email and there will be more information on My Brilliant Career about what to do if you have lesson clashes or if you are unwell.

Your college employability officer will be running activities with local and national employers throughout the term to give you opportunities to practice what you learn over the two days so you can practice your networking skills and start finding out more about the type of career you may like to go into. All events will be advertised on the events pages and on My Career Zone. Booking in advance is usually required.

Careers staff look forward to welcoming you to Exeter and helping you achieve a brilliant career!
