Financial support provided by the Annual Fund

Politics Internship Programme Bursary Success

The Exeter Politics Internship Programme has received funding through the University’s Annual Fund Award to provide students on the Programme with a small bursary to help cover the costs of doing an internship.

The Politics Internship Programme gives students meaningful work experience with MPs, local government and other organisations.  The Programme has been very popular with students who wish to gain extra skills to develop their employability once they have graduated.

Sabrina Borgatti, a Politics student who participated in the Programme, said:

I would definitely recommend this internship to another student as I have gained both a relevant and enjoyable experience.  To work in Parliament, with its buzzing and sometimes chaotic political environment, was exciting and educational.  This opportunity gave me an invaluable insight into what a career working in the Political sector would entail.

We recognise that the financial pressures of doing an internship can be off-putting to some, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer some financial assistance.  SSIS is particularly grateful to the Annual Fund for its continued support of the Politics Internship Programme.
