Students practice networking skills with the Gilbert Stephens Young Professionals Network

The prospect of networking can be quite daunting and yet it is a vital skills for today's undergraduates and graduates to learn.  The College of Social Sciences and International Studies recently addressed this issue by joining together with local young professionals and businesses to run an event in which students could develop their networking skills.

With speeches from sectors as diverse as Charity and Law as well as the opportunity to network with over 15 professionals in a variety of careers, the Gilbert Stephens sponsored Young Professionals Networking Event provided insights in to a variety of organisations and professions.

 President of the Sociology Society and final year student Michaela Steel said; " The Gilbert Stephens networking event was a fantastic way to practice my networking skills and gain an insight into life after University.
