The Centre for Gulf Studies offers the world's only MA in Gulf Studies. It provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the contemporary Gulf states (Arabia, Iraq, and Iran), their modern histories, societies, economic structures, and resources.

Research degrees in Gulf Studies

The IAIS offers two research degrees: MPhil and PhD.

Scholarships

Doctoral research students wishing to undertake policy-relevant research on the United Arab Emirates are eligible to apply for the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al-Qasimi Scholarship. The scholarship is open to PhD students from all nationalities.
