About the research
The aim of this study is to research the kinds of creative partnerships that are manifested between dance-artists and teachers in co-developing the creativity of 11-14 year olds. The Dance Partners for Creativity core team are using a qualitative methodology informed by critical theory to research with four KS3 dance-artist / dance-teacher partnerships to analyse dance practice, teaching and learning in context, to understand and develop best practice and partnership models. To achieve this, we are researching collaboratively with practitioners using a combination of educational research approaches and practice-based research current in dance.
