Dr Steven Wright
Honorary Research Fellow
Dr. Steven Wright is an Assistant Professor and the Head of the Department of International Affairs at Qatar University. Dr Wright has previously held research fellowships at the London School of Economics, and the University of Durham where he was the Sir William Luce Fellow. In addition to this, he is the Assistant Editor of the Journal of Arabian Studies.
Dr Wright received his Bachelor’s degree in Social and Political Science from the University of London, and his MA and Ph.D. degrees in International Relations from the University of Durham. His areas of research focus on the politics and international relations of the GCC, in addition to US foreign policy. He is the author of The United States and Persian Gulf Security (Reading, Ithaca: 2007) and co-editor of Reform in the Middle East Oil Monarchies (Reading, Ithaca: 2007).
