Undergraduate student life
Life at the Institute
The Institute has a cosmopolitan, international flavour, with staff and students from a wide range of cultural, religious and linguistic backgrounds making it a friendly, lively community. Our students have a good amount of contact time with their lecturers and develop strong working relationships during their time at the Institute. We aim to offer students an outstanding experience of their time at Exeter, to treasure long after they have graduated.
Students are assigned a personal tutor who acts as mentor and provides pastoral care.
Students are encouraged to participate in the Staff Student Liaison Committee. The SSLC meets twice per term and is a forum for students to put their queries, concerns and opinions directly to a member of staff.
University life and student support
You can find out more about what life is like for students on the Streatham campus and what support is available for you on the Undergraduate Study website's student life pages. The website also includes student profiles and films, which give a flavour of life on campus and in Exeter.
