Our Industry Advisory Group

Employability is at the heart of our programmes in Penryn. As such, our engagement with practitioners in both law and business are intrinsic to the success of our graduates. Our Invaluable connections with external partners provide the necessary expertise and insight to shape the design of our programmes, ensuring that our teaching is informed by best practice in the workplace. Our Industry Advisory Group meets twice a year in May and November to review programme design and delivery. Members of our Industry Advisory Group also contribute to our masterclass and mooting programmes.

These links have also helped to establish the provision of work experience and extra-curricular career enhancing opportunities, complementing our academic provision. The Group is comprised of independent members, all of whom have significant standing in the law and/or business community.

I am delighted to have been invited to work with Exeter Law School on their Cornish Campus in the formulation of the new Law and Business Degree Programmes. The depth and practical aspects of the degrees, not least their incorporation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) into core subjects, will undoubtedly assist all students in graduating with a degree that will impress potential employers when seeking professional positions at the outset of their careers, the experience of which will then be put to good use when in employment.
