This module will give you a thorough understanding of the institutional and procedural law of the European Union and the impact of, in particular European Union Law, on the national legal orders of the Member States as well as with a basic understanding of substantive EU Law. The module aims to focus on a range of aspects of the internal market, the role of the institutions and the interaction of the political institutions in the law making process, the relationship between European Union Law and national law and the judicial remedies available to institutions, Member States and private parties.

This module is one of the seven foundations of legal knowledge required by the Law Society and it is therefore compulsory for all of you who wish to progress onto the Vocational Stage of Training to become a Solicitor or Barrister.
