LAW1022 Legal Foundations

The module focuses on the European Convention of Human Rights. It provides with the opportunity to learn about a broad array of human rights legal systems and instruments.

The module is recommended to those of you who wish to learn more about human rights, from a practitioner or an academic perspective. The accent will be set on developing a critical stance to the existing legal documents, case law and academic commentaries. The interaction between the three levels, domestic, regional and international, will be the main guideline.

In this module you will develop an in-depth knowledge into human rights instruments, systems and philosophy. There is not pre-requisite or co-requisite to take this module, and is recommended for inter-disciplinary pathways.
