Overview

Alice Farthing graduated in Law from the University of Exeter (Penryn campus) in 2012. Following her undergraduate degree, Alice undertook an LLM in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton with a dissertation in Fisheries Law.

During her LLM, Alice began teaching academic writing and research skills to pre-masters students, and continued to be involved in the pre-sessional programmes in Southampton for 5 years. Alice gained experience in teaching writing to both undergraduate and pre-masters students at universities overseas where she worked for 3 years.

Alice is particularly interested in pedagogical methods and student-centred teaching approaches for developing writing skills for law.

Alice joined the University of Exeter in October 2021 as an academic tutor for Law, and currently teaches on the Legal Foundations module (LAW1023C and LAW1024C). Alice also offers one-to-one writing support for Law undergraduates.
