Marie-Odile Sander

Marie-Odile studied Law at the University of Paris II where she graduated in 1991 and was called to the Paris Bar in 1992. She practised law in Paris for ten years, including five years for a law firm specializing in cases put forward to the Conseil d’Etat and the Cour de Cassation.
Marie-Odile moved to London in 2001 and graduated with an Msc in Criminal Justice Policy from the London School of Economics in 2003. Until 2007 she worked as a legal consultant for Prisoners Abroad, a charity which provides support to British Nationals detained in overseas prisons.
Marie-Odile has been teaching French Law at Leicester University since 2006, at Westminster University in London since 2007 and at Exeter University since 2009.
At Exeter, Marie-Odile teaches French Law in the School of Law for the LLB European /French Maîtrise (Master 1), lecturing French Law of Contract and running the workshops in French Constitutional Law, French Administrative Law and French Law of Contract.
Marie-Odile also spends some time in Brussels where she is a mediator in civil and commercial matters.
