As part of a strategy to strengthen the School of Law, the LLB programmes in Cornwall will move to the Streatham Campus in Exeter from 2013. The aim is to concentrate the teaching expertise and research resources of both campuses in one location, improving module choice across the School and enhancing the student experience.

If you join us as an LLB student in Cornwall in September 2011 you will spend your first and second years in Cornwall and your final year at the Streatham Campus where you will benefit from the changes we are making.

Joint Honours with Law programmes will be retained at the Cornwall Campus for 2011 entry. Should you join us for these programmes, you will be based at the Cornwall Campus for the duration of your programme, including your final year in 2013/14.

As a Joint Honours with Law student, you will receive a significant part of the taught Law component of your programme in years one and two. Your final year will be aligned to the research themes of our new Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI); clean technology, natural environment and social science and sustainability. This will give the Joint Honours with Law programme an original focus and will be part of a wider engagement with the environment which is becoming a distinctive feature of the Cornwall Campus.

From 2012, Law in Cornwall will be offered to prospective undergraduate students exclusively through the Flexible Combined Honours (FCH) route, and will continue to be aligned to the research themes of the ESI. This structure will enable students to engage with the challenging but rewarding subject of environmental law as part of a tailored degree programme.

Learning in such a lovely environment on the Cornwall Campus helps my studies; I feel having a smaller group in my course than Streatham means I can get to know everyone and feel comfortable when learning. I chose to come to Cornwall so I would not be faced with a big university in a big city and it has provided everything I expected and needed during my time here.
