Welcome to all new undergraduate students studying in Exeter, and arriving in Autumn 2016

Welcome to the Department of Politics at the University of Exeter. It is one of the best all round Politics departments in the UK and we excel in research and teaching across all the main areas of political science including international relations, political theory, public policy and administration, comparative politics, public opinion and political behaviour.

Our undergraduate degrees reflect this diversity and the fact that our research directly shapes the modules we deliver at this level.

You will be taught by tutors who are international experts in their field. In addition to the degrees taught entirely within our department, there are a large number of joint degrees and of course you can opt for modules on other degree courses as you progress through your time with us.

Our staff aim to be friendly and approachable so feel free to come and discuss with us any issues that you may have. We welcome your feedback and ideas.

Professor of Politics
