Prof. Jeff Karp speaks at the Centre for the Study of Australian Politics

Professor Jeff Karp was invited to speak at the launch of the new Centre for the Study of Australian Politics at ANU on March 2nd:

According to a report on the event "presenters such as Professor McAllister himself, Professor Jeffrey Karp and Associate Professor Ariadne Vromen emphasised gaps in our knowledge about Indigenous Australian voters, voting patterns amongst new migrants and ethnic communities, and the political engagement of younger Australians. The AES has long struggled to capture the views of groups which are geographically, culturally or socially distant from Australia’s political institutions, and this has significant implications both for academic research and the broader issue of political participation. Finding new and different ways to engage with these groups is the great challenge of voter studies today, and one that was thrown down to all those who participated in the workshop"
