Dr Sandra Kröger awarded Hanse Institute for Advanced Study fellowship

Dr Sandra Kröger has been awarded a seven month fellowship at the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study) in Delmenhorst, Germany. During the fellowship, to take place from October 2013 – April 2014, she will work on two projects. The first addresses ‘Political representation by civil society in the EU’ and will wrap up her on-going Marie-Curie research. The second is a joint project with Professor Richard Bellamy on ‘The role for national parliaments in EU policy-making? An assessment of the Early Warning Mechanism’.

The Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (HWK) is a foundation of the federal states of Bremen and Lower Saxony and the city of Delmenhorst. As an independent Institute for Advanced Study, which is part of the international Network of the Institutes for Advanced Study (NETIAS), the HWK promotes the disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaboration of internationally renowned scientists and young investigators. It strengthens and interconnects nationally and internationally recognized research and excellence clusters including those of regional universities and research institutes.
