Undergraduates

The undergraduate programmes at Exeter have modules in history of political thought in the first two years, with a range of research-led optional modules in contemporary political theory available in the third year. Third year modules are run in seminar format, usually with 15-20 students.

MA Political Thought

The MA in Political Thought reflects the diverse interests of our lecturers. It is designed to give students an in-depth understanding of key areas of study in Political Theory, including the history of ideas, methods of interpretation, and influential debates.

PhD Supervision

We are able to supervise PhD dissertations in a number of disciplines including history of political thought, Anglo-American political theory, critical theory, feminist theory, and continental political theory. More details about our areas of expertise can be found here.
