Teachers Standards Portfolio (Teach First) (EDUM017)

This non-credit bearing module supports you in compiling a range of evidence for your professional development as a teacher using as a framework the Teachers’ Standards (2012) required by the National College of Teaching and Leadership for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will work in your placement school through the school year and will also have a placement in a second school. In these schools, you will follow the Teach First approach supported, where appropriate, by tools that have been developed as part of the Exeter Model of Initial Teacher Education. Working with experienced teachers in school and university tutors who visit you there, you will compile a Record of Teaching Evidence which, together with your Reflective Journal, a summary Portfolio and a moderated assessment of teaching, will provide the evidence required for the recommendation that you be awarded QTS
