Anthropologist publishes new book

Dr Gisa Weszkalnys new book, Berlin, Alexanderplatz: Transforming Place in a Unified Germany will be published by Berghahn Books in May/June 2010.

Dr Weszkalnys is a social anthropologist with an interest in complex socio-technological and governmental forms: from city planning to interdisciplinary research practice, to the temporalities and governance of oil developments in West Africa. She has carried out ethnographic research in Europe, Africa and the US, and conducted consultancy research for international organisations.
