My research interests include social stratification, inequalities in education, attitudes to immigrants, and statistical methods in the social sciences. I do most of my research on Russia, but currently start working with the UK data as well.

A new paper: "Ethnic hierarchy and public attitudes to immigrants in Russia".

I am currently involved in a research project that aims to evaluate a new intervention programme for children who are delayed in reading in English primary schools (PI:  Brahm Norwich, supported by the Nuffield Foundation).
