Anthony King is a member of the editorial board of The European Journal of SocialTheory and. He currently reviews articles for 14 journals including Sociological Review, British Journal of Social, Philosophy of the Social Sciences, Theory, Culture and Society and American Journal of Sociology.
Media Work:
Anthony King has made increasingly frequent appearances on the national media, discussing topics from football to social class. He is available for future work and can be contacted directly. He is currently planning a programme proposal for a documentary on the armed forces.
Consultancy Work:
As a result of his research on the armed forces, Anthony King has been increasingly engaged in consultancy work, offering advice to military organisations with whom he has worked. He is developing a close relationship with the Doctrine Concepts and Development Centre for whom he has worked on Joint Action, a Cultural Estimate (now included in British planning doctrine) and, most recently, contributions to current doctrine on planning. With colleagues, Tim Dunne and Gareth Stansfield, he has recently established the Exeter Security Group as a small network providing academic expertise for the armed forces, specifically and distinctively in relation to current operations.
