Withdrawal from the University

Students thinking about withdrawing must speak to their Personal Tutor as soon as possible. There are many other options available to students (as above), however if none of these are appropriate, students can approach the College Office at Exeter or the Academic Support Unit at the Cornwall Campus in order to arrange withdrawing from their programme. Students should also consult the Student Finance Office and the Guild Advice Unit as there may be implications on funding.

If students have passed assessments in certain modules it is possible to use the credits in accredited prior learning agreements with the University of Exeter or other Universities in the future. This may allow students to be granted exemptions in a programme. Please note however that Exeter credits are only valid for this purpose for five years after leaving. More information can be found in the University Procedures for   the Interruption and Voluntary Withdrawal of Taught Students (PDF).
