Syllabus Plan

Whilst the module’s precise content may vary from year to year, it is envisaged that the syllabus will cover the following topics: 

  1. English Sales Law and the English Sale of Goods Act 1979
  2. International Sale of Goods Contracts under English law and the Vienna Convention (CISG)
  3. The Common European Sales Law (CESL)
  4. Cross-border issues in securities clearing and settlement
  5. Uniform law and other harmonising initiatives for securities clearing and settlement
  6. Cross-border commercial dispute resolution
  7. Corporate law and commercial arbitration
  8. Asian markets’ approaches to international commercial arbitration (ie Japan, China, Singapore etc)
