POLM884DA: Work Based Project
This module descriptor refers to the 2021/2 academic year.
Module Aims
Module six will help apprentices put into practice the skills (S4, S5, S6, S8, S9, S10, S11) and knowledge (K3, K4, K5) gained through modules 4 and 5, in addition to those gained from modules 1-3. Critically, it will offer apprentices a final opportunity to evidence core behavioural change (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9) towards the IATE Systems Thinking Practitioner standard. Evidence of the development trajectories towards the standard will be captured in apprentices e-portfolio.

Module-Specific Skills | 1. Evidence a sound working knowledge of soft systems methodology or the VSM 2. Evidence a sound working knowledge of the Soft Systems and Critical Systems Heuristics methods. |
Discipline-Specific Skills | 3. Demonstrate abilities for applying systems thinking in practice and in cross-organisational settings 4. Evidence the application of systems theory at appropriate settings, scales, and temporalities within their home, and within others home organisations 5. Assess the value and import of soft systems approaches in addressing extant organisational challenges and in so doing develop leadership skills and behaviours |
