This module aims to teach the students to read and translate Kurdish texts. Furthermore it is aimed that the students, through learning a more advanced Kurdish vocabulary and grammar, should be able to write simple texts in Kurdish. The emphasis of the module will be on analysing Kurdish texts in order to provide a more detailed understanding of the structure of the Kurdish language. The ability to conduct basic conversations in Kurdish is another aim of the module. Oral and aural skills are developed through language lab work and conversation practice.
