LAW3051: French Law of Contract
This module descriptor refers to the 2017/8 academic year.
Module Aims
The French Law of Contract course constitutes the third part of the teaching of LLB in Eng. Law and French Law/Master 1 (Maitrise) degree programme. It is taught entirely in French and closely reflects the way law is taught in France. This French Private Law module is designed to provide you with a sound knowledge of French Law of Contract Law with a strong emphasis on the French legal methodology. You are expected to acquire a confident command of the French Law of Contract so that they develop the ability to express themselves on sophisticated French legal issues, to analyse them critically with acuteness and to apply the law with insight. An important part of the course is dedicated to French legal methodology and examination techniques in order to prepare you for their year abroad and the study leading to the French Maîtrise en Droit (Master 1).
