POC3101: Contemporary Political Theory: Race, Class, Gender
This module descriptor refers to the 2017/8 academic year.

Module Aims
The module aims to provide you with an introduction to major topics in contemporary political theory by presenting major concepts, theoretical debates, historical events and cultural and academic texts. It also aims to link theoretical arguments to empirical examples through employing real world examples and case studies. The aim will be for you to critically analyse the intersection of different forms of structural oppression and how these are constituted along class, gender and race lines.
