This is the second of two conferences covering the Digital Single Market. One-fourth of the European Commission’s 2015 Communication ‘Upgrading the Single Market: more opportunities for people and business’ dealt with digital single market (DSM) initiatives. The DSM roadmap includes 19 different actions including new EU Regulations and Directives and a review of the Telecomms package (the 2016 ‘Connectivity package’) This conference addressed GDPR implementation, revision of the e-privacy Directive and issues of cross-border data handling.
