Networks and groups
Our research networks pull together members of staff and postgraduate students who share common research interests and allow a flexible and less formal way to explore different themes.
Members of staff can participate in whichever networks best match their interests. Network boundaries are flexible, and collaborative research across the networks and centres is actively promoted. By clustering our research around these specific areas we can encourage:
- mentoring by people who are specialists in the same research area
- collaborative bid writing and writing workshops
- flexibility in allocated research time, to meet the demands of externally-funded research
