Department of Politics and International Relations appoints new Work Placements Co-ordinator
The new Work Placements Co-ordinator for Politics, Benedict Hill was appointed at the start of February to work on a year-long project to increase the delivery of placement activity in the Tremough and Exeter Politics Departments.
Having graduated from Exeter with a BA in Philosophy and Sociology in 2011, Benedict is pleased to be returning to the University. He says: “It is becoming increasingly important to have the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience while doing a degree. The politics department here at Exeter already has a great Summer Internship Programme, where students can gain work experience with MPs in Westminster, and I look forward to working with the staff and students in looking at how we can improve upon and expand the current provision of work experience.”
To find out more about the work placements currently on offer, including the chance to work with an MP in Westminster over the summer, current penultimate year Politics students should have a look at the politics section of your My Brilliant Career e-learning page: http://tinyurl.com/mybrilliantcareer
