Mr Nick Pointon
Nick joined the Law School in Penryn as a Senior Lecturer in 2021. Prior to then, Nick was a barrister practising at the Commercial and Chancery Bar and a Senior Associate Tutor at the University of Bristol. He remains an Associate Academic Member of St John's Chambers in Bristol.
Nick's practice at the Bar saw him specialise in offshore litigation and private international law, advising and representing litigants in litigation and arbitration around the world. He has particular experience of litigation in the Channel Islands, Cayman Islands, Anguilla, Delaware, New York, Singapore and Dubai, as well as before the English courts. Nick's appellate work has taken him through the appeal courts of numerous jurisdictions, up to and including the Privy Council.
Nick convenes the Equity & Trusts unit as part of the LLB Law with Business programme at the Penryn Campus. He also takes a lead on the development of advocacy skills and opportunities for Penryn's students.
