Module Content

Syllabus Plan

Whilst the module's precise content may vary from year to year, it is envisaged that the syllabus will cover some or all of the following topics:

Week 1: The Theoretical Infrastructure: part 1.
Week 2: The Theoretical Infrastructure part 2. 
Week 3: The Zionist Narrative. 
Week 4: The Palestinian Narrative. 
Week 5: The 'New History' in Israel. 
Week 6: Post-Zionism. 
Week 7: New Trends in Palestinian Historiography. 
Week 8: The Bridging Narrative. 
Week 9: The New-Zionist Historiography. 
Week 10: Religion and Historiography. 
Week 11: A Vision for the Future

Teaching will take the form of seminars. Seminars will be weekly and will be organized around the discussion of themes covered in the previous lectures and students' class presentations.
