This module looks at the relation between the mind and the world. It seems uncontroversial that the world influences the mind, and vice versa. But are the mind and the world entirely separate? Or can the mind include at least some parts of the world? Some philosophers for example claim that the mind is “extended” into the world. What does this mean? Also, what is the relationship between subjective lived experience and the world? Can parts of the world come to be experienced as part of one’s mind? If so, how?
