- The representation of animals in literature (including an overview of how to approach working with texts)
- Animals and Colonialism
- Representing self and other
- The animal aesthetic: Animals in Art/Animals as Art
- Anthropomorphism
- The post-modern animal and post-humanism
- Hybrids
- Exhibiting animals
