During this module, you will look at the role and value of the arts (Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Art) in school contexts and make meaningful links between theory, research, policy, and practice. Each art form will be individually considered within dedicated sessions led by subject experts. You will engage in cross-curricular/integrated approaches– linking different art forms and also linking the arts with non-arts subjects. The module is aimed at those with some teaching experience. Prior knowledge, skills and experience in one or more of the above art forms would be desirable, but the module is also suitable for non-arts specialists.
This module requires Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
