POL3086: Dissertation Planning, Preparation and Proposal (D3P)

This module descriptor refers to the 2016/7 academic year.

Module Aims

You will able to clearly articulate a research question and topic that will serve as the basis for your dissertation. You will learn how to identify relevant literature for your question and how to conceptualize the appropriate research methodology. You will be exposed to multiple competing approaches to research. Particular emphasis will be placed how to structure and organize publication length essays (10,000-12,000 words). Taken together, this class will help your skills in generating research questions and beginning down the path of answering these questions.
