ARA3166: Advanced Turkish Language II

Module Content

Syllabus Plan

The class will be conducted mostly in Turkish. Teaching includes lectures and commentary on the main textbook in-class discussion of the handouts of classical Turkısh prose and poetry given as homework; as well as translations from English into Turkish and from Turkish  into English will be introduced.

Whilst the module’s precise content may vary from year to year, it is envisaged that the syllabus will cover some or all of the following topics: 

  • Advanced Turkish Grammar (text based);
  • Study and translation of advanced Turkish texts
  • Advanced Turkish (conversational and listening skills)
  • Review of entire class
