Syllabus Plan

While the module’s precise content may vary from year to year, it is envisaged that the syllabus will include the following topics in the order indicated:

  1. History and introduction;
  2. Elements of the cause of action, enrichment, at the expense of;
  3. Unjust factors including such areas as mistake, compulsion, exploitation, and failure of performance;
  4. Defences including entitlement and change of position;
  5. Areas of continuing controversy including ignorance and the availability of proprietary remedies;
  6. Summary and revision.
