Syllabus Plan

  • The changing constitution;
  • Religion and the law;
  • Criminal Behaviour and criminal justice;
  • Migration and minorities
  • Marriage, divorce and child custody disputes;
  • Land Ownership and Property Transfer;
  • Contracts and torts;
  • Charities and trusts;
  • Inheritance;
  • The Poor Law;
  • The legal profession;
  • Women’s status and rights;
  • The changing social, economic and political background;
  • Changing perceptions of the past: how legal history has been written and who has written it.
