This module descriptor refers to the 2021/2 academic year.
Module Aims
The aims of this module are:
- to inform you how to research relevant organizations and apply for placement opportunities;
- to help you identify your own skills and personal qualities to promote yourself and stand out in a competitive environment;
- to give you advice on how to write an effective CV, covering letter, and application form;
- to give you advice on how to participate in interviews effectively;
- to give you advice on how to make the most of networking opportunities;
- to provide you with an opportunity to investigate professionalism in the workplace (including common scenarios which you may face and suitable approaches to handling those scenarios).
