Syllabus Plan

This module relates directly to spending a full academic year in a school placement. During this time, you will have a second placement in a different school of at least 6 weeks in length. While you are working in school, you will compile evidence of your professional learning and of meeting the competencies listed in the professional standards required by the NCTL for the award of QTS.

Your training will be delivered using the Exeter Model of Initial Teacher Education, widely recognised as an exemplary framework for teacher education. During your time in school you will study two co-required modules: Subject and Curriculum Studies, and Education and Professional Studies. These will be delivered by distance learning using the University of Exeter’s virtual learning environment, ELE.  Throughout the year your development will be supported by experienced teachers and by a University Link Tutor who will visit you in school.
