Syllabus Plan

- Historical evolution of regional order in East Asia
- The Great Powers in East Asia
- American hegemony and alliances in East Asia
- The rise of China and its implications for regional order
- Contemporary security challenges and their implications for regional order
- Regional flashpoints and crises
- Regional institutions and architecture-building
