LAW2701: Law Placement

This module descriptor refers to the 2021/2 academic year.

It is envisaged that the syllabus will include the following topics although precise content and order may vary.

Year 2 Securing your Placement – Review of expectations/responsibilities during the placement search and placement approval process (including how to seek approval for a placement, health and safety and risk assessment).
Health and Safety and what to do when you secure a placement.
Professionalism in the Workplace: Ethics and Culture.
Introduction to placement year academic assessments.
Pre-Placement Briefing Session – Student Responsibilities and Support.
OPTIONAL: skills sessions, mock interviews, etc.
OPTIONAL: Appointments with Employability and Placement Advisors to review student progress in securing a professional placement and advise on CV/LinkedIn and applications.
