Module Content
Syllabus Plan
It is envisaged that the syllabus will include the following topics although precise content and order may vary.
- Year 2 Securing your Placement – Review of expectations/responsibilities during the placement search and placement approval process (including how to seek approval for a placement, health and safety and risk assessment).
- Health and Safety and what to do when you secure a placement.
- Professionalism in the Workplace: Ethics and Culture.
- Introduction to placement year academic assessments.
- Pre-Placement Briefing Session – Student Responsibilities and Support.
- OPTIONAL: skills sessions, mock interviews, etc.
- OPTIONAL: Appointments with Employability and Placement Advisors to review student progress in securing a professional placement and advise on CV/LinkedIn and applications.
